A) The Scriptures...
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the Bible, as it is in truth, the word of God... (I Thessalonians 2:13). We believe in verbal, plenary inspiration of the Scripture, and God's preservation of His pure words to every generation (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21, Psalms 12:6-8). We believe the Bible to be preserved to the English speaking world in the Authorized King James Bible. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice.
B) The Creation...
We believe in the Genesis account of Creation. That the earth and man were created by the direct act of God. Giving no tolerance to evolution, theistic or otherwise. (Genesis 1 & 2, Isaiah 42:12 , John 1:1-3)
C) The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ...
We believe that Jesus Christ was Virgin Born, the Only Begotten Son of God. In the incarnation that Jesus Christ was God, yet entirely and completely man in flesh. (Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:20, Luke 1:35, John 1:14, John 10:30)
D) The Blood Atonement...
We believe in the vicarious(substituted) sacrifice of Jesus Christ for every penitent believer. That man is totally depraved and incapable of meeting the standards of the sovereign and righteous God, apart from the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Hebrew 2:9, 9:22, Romans 3:23, 6:23)
E) The Trinity...
We believe God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, as three equal persons in one Substance and Godhead. Three-in-one! (Matthew 28:19; I John 5:7).
F) The Bodily Resurrection...
We believe that Jesus Christ was resurrected in body from the tomb (Matthew 28:6), which assures us of our resurrection at the rapture (I Cor 15:52). The return of Christ takes place in two distinct stages, the rapture of the church (His coming in the air) and the revelation or Second Coming (His return to the earth). The second coming is followed by 1,000 year glorious reign on earth. Then the resurrection of the unsaved to stand at the Great White Throne Judgment takes place. (Revelations 20).
G) Salvation by Grace through Faith...
We believe that man is totally depraved and without the new birth, cannot enter the Kingdom of God. That in the new birth, the one dead in trespasses and sins, is made a partaker of divine nature and receives eternal life. That repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ is the only condition of Salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 16:31).
H) The Security of the Believer...
We believe that all who are truly born angain, are kept by the power of God. (Phil 1:6, John 10:28-29 , Romans 8:35-39, Jude 24).
I) The Eternal Punishment of the wicked...
We believe that there is an essential difference between the righteous and the wicked, that such only as through faith are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. While all who remain unrepentant and in unbelief, are wicked in His sight and accursed. This distinction holds true for all, both in and after death. With the believers in everlasting joy of the saved, and the unbelievers in everlasting conscious suffering in hell. (Romans 6:17-18 , I John 5:19, Romans 6:23, Matthew 25:34-41, John 8:21)
J) The Local Church...
We believe that a local church is a congregation of scripturally baptized believers. We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self-government, free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations. The one and only superintendent is Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:41-42, I Cor 11:2, I Timothy 3:17, Eph 5:23)
K) Civil Government...
We believe that God has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions: 1) the Church 2) the home 3) the state. Every person is subject to these authorities, but all are answerable to God and governed by His word. (Rom 13:1-7 , Eph 5:;22-24 , Heb 13:17 , I Peter 2:13-14).
L) Human Sexuality...
We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, bisexuality, beastiality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornograpy are sinful and perversions of God's gift of sex. (Gen 2:24, Gen 19:5,13 , Romans 1:26-29, Cor 5:1 , Thess 4:1-8, Heb 13:4).
M) Abortion...
We believe that human life begins at conception, and the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified taking of unborn human life. Abortion is murder, under any and all causes. (Job 2:16, Psalms 51:5, Isaiah 44:24, 49:1,5, Jer 1:5, Luke 1:44).
N) Christian Living...
We believe that every saved person should manifest the Christ-like life by a consistent walk with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe in a separated life for all believers, including separaton from worldly alliances, pleasures, methods of work, worldly societies, worldy literature, etc. (I Cor 3:16-17 , 6:19-20 11:14-15, II Cor 6:14 5:17 7:1).
O) The Day of Worship...
We believe that this is the Age of Grace, Sunday, the day of our Lord's resurrection, is the proper day for Christian worship and service. It should be kept sacred to spiritual purposes. (I Cor 16:1-2 , Col 2:13-17 , Heb 10:25 , John 20:1,19). Mid-week services and special days (conferences) are upon the discretion of the local assembly.
P) Giving...
We believe that every christian is obligated to support his local church financially. God has established the tithe as the basis for giving, but that every Christian should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. The Christian relinquishes all rights to direct the use of the offering, once the gift has been made, unless delegated to a specific outreach. (Gen 14:20, Prov 3:9-10 , Acts 4:34-37 , I Cor 16:2, I Timothy 5:17-18, I John 3:17).
ORDINANCES
A) Water Baptism...
Believers in Christ shall be immersed in water in accordance with the Biblical teaching , either by the Pastor or by some other person authorized by the church. Scriptural immersion is symbolic of Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection.
B) The Lord's Supper...
The Lord's supper frequency shall be observed at the discretion of the church, but should be held at least 3 or 4 times a year. It shall be offered to members by the Pastor, who is the undershepherd. The Pastor shall urge each member to scripturally examine themselves prior to partaking. The Lord's supper is symbolic of Christ's giving of himself for sacrifice of our sins. The bread is symbolic of his body, broken for us on calvary. The juice is symbolic of his blood that was willingly shed for our sin debt.
"Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands." (Isaiah 42:12)
